For quite some time, watercolors have always caught my eye but never made it to my paintbrush. And now that I have immersed myself in this beautiful medium, my brush is rarely dry.
During my time of exploring watercolor, I was introduced to a wonderful group of people living in the small village of Mumutumba, Uganda. Their lack of basic needs has never hindered their love and hospitality to others. Though many are widowed and orphaned, their lives are full of hope and faith. Their lives are filled with song and dance. Their lives are filled with thankfulness and generosity. It is their lives that I now paint.
Tororo Hospital is their hospital. And it is through the donated sales of these African paintings that food, medicine and other immediate supplies are purchased and delivered to the patients and families of this region. |
